Andhra Pradesh is the fifth largest State in India located in South India, both in area and population. The Micro Enterprise Development program in Andhra Pradesh was implemented in 1994 through Chennai branch. The program expanded, branch office was set up at Hyderabad in 2000 with a team of four member staff. The team with their vibrancy and commitment could expand outreach exponentially to the needy areas of the state within two years.
The Branch has extended the program to the remotest villages by working in close association with Andhra Pradesh Dairy Development Corporation by providing financial assistance to their clients. This comprehensive village development program has helped in the economic development of rural areas. Due to funding of the large-scale dairy program, villagers have biogas plants, resulting in reduction of felling of trees.
The branch has implemented Prison micro finance program at the Central Prison in Hyderabad and Micro Insurance program.
The branch is enabled with web based MIS and the head office team monitors the operations on day to day basis. The following table shows the basic statistics of the state and the achievements of the branch till date:
